The waiting game

Well, the Hubbard gang is all back under one roof again.  Casey made it safely back from NYC on Sunday night and we are back in full swing with our busy schedules. We are back in the full swing of things with school, work, church, etc.  But in the midst of everything going on around us, we are also playing the waiting game.  You see Leeann had her interview for the early college high school yesterday.  Artie and I sat in on part of the interview session with her, and we were excused as she completed the interview alone. AND WE WAITED.  Then after the interview she had to write an essay about why she wanted to be accepted in the early college high school.  AND WE WAITED some more.  When it was all said and done, the entire process took about an hour and a half.  AND NOW WE WAIT AGAIN to hear if she gets accepted.  Praying for God's will to be done, and hoping for her sake, it will all work out for her.  We just have to be PATIENT IN WAITING.

We are also WAITING anxiously as our 3 goats get closer and closer to having their babies.  Our "mama" goat, as I call her since she has had babies before.  Looks like she could give birth ANY DAY NOW!!!  We have actually been "waiting" for her to deliver for a few days now.  Every day she shows more and more signs that it won't be long now.  Hopefully her "baby" who is also expecting, and her baby's half sister, will follow suit soon after her. 

We are also WAITING to see if the 20 something eggs that our hen has been sitting on for about 3 weeks now, will hatch.  Out of all the chickens we have had in the past 2 years, she is the only "broody" hen that we have had.  I would love for our children to experience going to the coup to gather eggs in the next few days, and find some "dibs" hatched out.  In the past, we have just incubated the eggs in order for them to hatch, which is exciting, but it would be even more exciting, if our hen hatched her own babies.

Hopefully, the WAITING GAME will be over soon and we will have some good news to share on all accounts. But for now we just WAIT.   So pray for us as we WAIT and see what God is going to do!!
